Curriculum Responsive to Children’s Interests: Home Visiting Video 1
Luz: What are some activities that you've been working with Emmanuel?
Griselda: Well right now, since he's into lids, I get like, plastic water bottles like that one.
Luz: OK.
Griselda: I take them off, so he puts them on. Kind of like a puzzle.
Luz: Oh, that's good.
Griselda: And then he likes putting stuff in there, so I give him spoons, he puts them in.
Luz: Putting things in and out. OK.
Griselda: Yeah.
Emmanuel: [Babbles]
Luz: He's looking for the bottle. He's going towards ...
Griselda: He's going to want that.
Luz: Yeah, you could give him that, and then we'll just bring him back.
Emmanuel: [Babbles]
Griselda: Oh!
Emmanuel: Uh, oh.
Griselda: Uh, oh.
Emmanuel: Uh, oh.
Griselda: Uh, oh.
Luz: He's going for spoons ...
And then with the lids, just making sure that it's not small enough for it — it'll be like a choking hazard, too.
Griselda: Yeah, usually I do, like, big things.
Luz: Big things.
Griselda: Yeah. Well he's not into ...
He doesn't put his – that stuff in his mouth as much.
Luz: Mm hmm. Yay! One more? Muy bien.
Griselda: Bravo!
Luz: Yay!
