The Facilities Funding and Management training program is designed for program and grants management specialists. It provides a comprehensive look at the key concepts, tasks, and processes involved in the purchase, construction, or renovation of facilities or equipment using Head Start funds. When completed, this course will include eight modules covering the following topics:
- Overview and Introduction
- Planning Support
- Application Development
- Application Analysis
- Funding Actions and Post-Award Requirements
- Special Situations
- Deviation Requests
- Closeout and Disposition
New specialists are encouraged to complete the modules in the order presented above, to gain a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of facilities funding and management. Specialists more familiar with the topics may want to focus on individual modules to address facilities issues that arise in the workplace, such as requests for encumbrance or disposition of property.
