This training is one of a series designed to help program and grants management specialists gain a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of facilities funding and management. This module focuses on facilities funding deviations. A funding deviation is a change that adds, deletes, or modifies an existing regulatory provision or policy requirement as defined by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). Deviations are typically required when funding presents a higher risk to the federal interest in facilities. For facilities financing, a deviation occurs whenever a recipient’s funding request is outside of typical funding activities.
