Child Development: Brain Building: Video 5
[Overlapping conversations] Girl 1: She said tacos.
Teacher 1: They're like tacos? Girl 1: No.
Teacher 1: Oh.
Girl 2: This one!
Teacher 1: Circles?
Teacher 2: Yep, the green one does fit inside the red one, block. Oh, and the blue fit inside the yellow.
Girl 2: This one pink.
Teacher 2: Where do you think the pink one is going to fit inside? Oh, you took out the blue one. Hmm, it doesn't look like the square fits inside the circle. Hmm, what happens if you try the green one, Abby? What happens if you try to put the green in?
Abby: No.
Teacher 2: No, that one doesn't fit. What happens if you take the green square out? Now does the other one fit inside the red?
Teacher 1: These are kind of sticky-feeling. Girl 1: Oh, wow!
Teacher 1: Mmhmm, they stick together.
Teacher 2: Want to bounce it on the ground, Mia? Try bouncing it on the ground. Or Abby wants to? Oh, way on top of the counter.
Mia: It's on the [Inaudible].
Teacher 1: It's on top of your finger? Mia: Yeah.
Teacher 2: Hmm, what about the red square? [Ball rattling] Oh, what's inside the blue ball? What's in -- what do you hear? Abby, what do you hear inside the blue ball when you shake it? [Rattling] Is there a little rattle inside? What about this one? If you shake that one, do you hear anything?
Abby: No.
Teacher 2: What happens if you squeeze the orange ball? Teacher 1: Can you just throw it -- ooh!
Mia: Whoa!
Teacher 1: Whoa! Great throw, Mia.
Teacher 2: What do you hear? Try squeezing it with both hands. Teacher 1: Do it under the chair.
Teacher 2: It's kind of hard. Listen. [Ball squeaks]
Teacher 1: The ball went under the chair. Can you go get it?
Teacher 2: What do you hear in the orange -- inside the orange ball? Boy: I do it. [Ball squeaks]
Teacher 2: What do you hear? Do you want to try? Here, let -- Mia: I want ball.
Teacher 1: You want that ball? Teacher Lucy has that ball.
Teacher 2: When you shake it, you hear a rattle. What about the purple ball? Teacher 1: You can ask her, though.
Teacher 2: You can use both hands and you push on the ball. Boy: I want --
Teacher 2: Try this one.

Identifique cuándo los niños están desarrollando habilidades tempranas de la función ejecutiva, como mantener el enfoque, persistir en una actividad y demostrar flexibilidad en su pensamiento y comportamiento.
