Thinking flexibly, controlling our impulses, and focusing is tricky for all of us. This is especially true for preschoolers. These skills, known as executive functions, are still developing in the preschool years and continue to develop well into our 20s. It can be easy to forget that young children are just beginning to develop these skills and need adult support to learn them. Join Amelia Bachleda, PhD, from the National Center on Early Childhood Development, Teaching, and Learning to explore research on preschoolers’ developing executive function skills, including self-regulation. Discover strategies to help both preschoolers and adults practice self-regulation skills.
This webinar is offered with English and Spanish captioning.
